My style of therapy is collaborative. I believe that everyone has a unique story, and that although I have a lot of theoretical knowledge you are the best source of knowledge about yourself. We will work together to understand your past and create a present and future around your determined priorities and goals. This means I believe in allyship and holding space for you as you learn how to process and heal yourself. I think everyone has a unique path for growth and it is my privilege to be included in discovering that path. I practice a non-judgmental attitude toward the past, believing that the past is part of each of us, but the present is where the work happens.
My theoretical preference is a client-centered; meaning that I believe that each person has what they need, but sometimes they lose track of it. Epiphanies are for you to discover, and I will collaborate with you as your guide. I bring empathy, patience and hope to my work with clients and am comfortable working with a variety of concerns. Some of the tools I have training and experience with include EMDR; Sandplay and Depth Work; Shadow work; DBT and work with psychedelics.
